Baby Empress
It's cute and all, but so bland. If you look for plot or consistent character development this ain't it. I personally couldn't get through more than the first 2-3 chapters and skipping through a bunch just to drop it entirely 5min later.
When The Count’s Illegitimate Daughter Gets Married
So far it's not a bad read. The world building mentioned so far has been interesting. But honestly, I'm so annoyed by FL's overplayed insecurities. I liked her character, but her personal drama over being a temporary replacement, or what have you, is just so unreasonable (as well as useless) when you take the situation she is in into account.
I hate when authors do this kind of shit. It seems out of character for FL too, imo.
Also also, there's a bunch of scenes where FL- and even ML- just cook alone while listing the recipe. After some time it felt so random and out of left field, it's as if the author forgot their cooking notes on the story board and ran with it.
Yea no nvm, after the first beginning bit it looses me. The story doesn't know what it wants.
Yubisaki to Renren
Super cute read about a deaf girl and her first love, a uni student acquaintance who loves traveling and learning all sorts of languages. It's a good read just to feel wholesome and loved. Though when I finished it, it didn't feel like the end despite the manga being completed. All I can think is that it was something intentional- something like them still having a long journey ahead together, potentially. Also loved how the mangaka used the gestures and sign language to portray their feelings later on after they were explained the first time. Not only does it show that ML and the creator actually cared to learn about sign language, but it also gives gives the scenes and emotions so much more depth than they would've had otherwise.
A Painter Behind the Curtain
I'm personally not a huge Yaoi fan, but damn this is good.
