If anyone needs a reminder of what Grayson Miller did to his little brother:
1. Dropped him down a chimney when his brother was around 4-6 and his brother ended up with a broken arm.
2. Locked him a closet.
3. Pushed him in front of a moving bus when his brother was 9-11 resulting in a broken arm and a broken leg.
4. Tried to force his brother to sleep with a dog saying “a hole is just a hole”.
No, he isn't, because he was unaware off what it did to Chase, because he really wanted to help him. This story will actually explain his character.
And no, it doesn't change the fact that Chase got hurt and got dog trauma.
But honestly, Chase in a different way is also really bad, and he knows what he is doing, which kind of makes it worse.
1. Tried to shoot a paparazzi.
2. Tried to shoot Josh.
3. Tried to drown Josh.
4. Kicked Henry out of a helicopter that already lift off.
5. Bit off another actor's tongue.
All that in that short amount of time.
So what do you call him?
The only reason Chase is the way he is is because of his brother Grayson and he is not even remotely close to being as god awful as Grayson is. If you were raised surrounded by disgusting creatures like Grayson that were constantly trying to kill you, you’d do what you had to in order to survive and have major trauma and inability to trust others. Grayson also said he’d r/pe their younger brother in case you forgot.
I don't know if you've read all the novels, but the Millers are nowhere near as normal as some people think they are including Chase. He was literally known as the "Mad Dog." Sure, out of all the siblings, he was probably the most "normal" one, but even he had his own issues, especially when it came to emotional sensitivity but he isn't as normal as you think he is lol.
That's actually one of the reasons Koi worried about Chase the most. He even pushed him into becoming a superstar at a young age because he wanted Chase separated from the twins.
And trust me, I hated Grayson with every fiber of my being when I first read the story. But if you actually read the novel, you'll understand his character a lot better. I'm not saying his actions were justified they weren't but you'll understand where he was coming from. Grayson genuinely believed he was doing the right thing because he was always trying to help in every situation he got involved in. The problem was that his "help" often made things worse.
Spoilers ahead, but after everything he went through in the novel, he finally learned from his mistakes. He was even the one who left Dane because he realized it was the best decision for both of them. He also apologized to everyone he had affected, including Chase. Even though Chase didn't accept the apology (which is honestly for the better for his own feelings), the important part is that Grayson finally recognized how wrong he had been.
By the later parts of the story, he becomes genuinely pathetic in a heartbreaking way, but that's also what makes his development so satisfying. He grows a lot as a person, and Dane learns a lot from him too especially when it comes to understanding love and affection
Ps: i only gatherd my thoughts here bcs I've already read all the novels, pls don't throw such words at me lol
No, chase has always been a violent kid. His violent behaviour has nothing to do with his upbringing, infact his parents had the hardest time raising Chase. Also, because of Grayson's lie, he developed dog phobia. So he get panic attacks and get anxious whenever he sees dogs. His other actions are not a result of his trauma. His every wrong actions were done intentionally and being fully aware of the results.
Chase isn't as normal as you think he is I love chase too like so much but if you read the novels his also violent even in front of the youngest which is bliss he curse things in front of him a LOT and out of all the siblings he's probably the most normal one including bliss lol and I think the reason why chase is also like this bcs of how Ashley (their father) raised him, koi literally separated chase from his other children bcs he knew it's for the best and he's also the first one who got out of the house bcs he's a celebrity, idk if you even read my comment properly or even the novel bcs chase is NOT as normal as you think he is even when his bird died koi was there to comfort him but he didn't budge a little bcs he is always been STUBBORN,,, he is a miller for a damn reason bruh
It annoys me bcs this ppl think he isn't violent when he was always been stubborn even when he was a child, all of the millers children were always been crazy that's why Ashley is disappointed, it kinda annoys me that chase was like "babied" in the manhwa when in the novel his violent as fck he even has a law suit waiting for him bcs he bit another actors mouth
Grayson would never do it with anybody without consent as that is what he has been taught by Ashley. He never said that he would rape Bliss, the words he uses were "Siblings can help each other if they that situation arise" which involves the other person consent too. And he said that without thinking as his only intention there was to convince chase to have sex with omegas to release pheromones, so thats why only mattered to Grayson as he is indeed a psycho. Also, it was Chase's pheromones which was most dangerous to Bliss. And chase would actually have raped someone. He got lucky that the other that time was Josh who was a whore and and omega affected by Dom Alpha Pheromones, so josh didn't mind sleeping with chase.
You can neve make it understand to someone who has only read KMYIC manhwa. And there won't be any need of explainations to someone who has read all the novels. I have seen so many novel readers who still stan Chase(n there's nothing wrong with it) and don't hate grayson as well. And they did understand the situation that led to evrything.
I also don't understand how you could force your argument while only using ONE half-baked story as your "knowledge" basis. If you just open your mind and read with the purpose of truly understanding, you wouldn't shut off the correct details from the other novel readers. Defending is different from knowing the complete TRUTH from all sides and understanding it. Don't be like the others who spread misinformation and malinformation.
Someone doing horrible actions because they think it’s “helping” does not magically make them a good person. He is still vile. If someone does all of these things to you, it doesn’t become ok because they thought they were “helping”. I sure as hell hope you’d want that person jailed instead of defending them because the “complete TRUTH” is that they thought they were “helping” in a completely f/cked up way. That supposed intention does not magically undo everything, sure it provides context but everything I stated in my original comment are actual events from the story, they’re not opinions, they’re facts.
JFC, it’s because he’s not a psychopath like you and actually does his job.
Umm…I’m not sure if you’re aware how JOBS work but if you apply to do a job and are hired for it, you’re obliged to actually do it. Their intentions, financial position and other jobs do not affect this obligation especially when it’s a public service emergency position like a firefighter. Also you must have skipped a few chapters because he has memorised exactly what this job entails and has also satisfied the physical requirements. YOU DON’T KNOW WHY I’M BLAMING HIM? Because no one is to blame except him. Like you said, he’s a nepo baby which means no one else at the fire station can control the fact that they’re forced to work with him.

This chapter was so epic. The scene of them running after him and kicking him in the distance. The scene of the grandma playing music in the background while everything goes down would be so nice animated.
