Just finished it and dam. It does get really fricking sweet and healthy. I still don’t like how seme treated uke in the beginning with the push and pull and other stuff. BUT when they finally get together, they are so sweet to each other and seme stops all the red flags I had of him lol. I forgive him for his misgivings but I don’t forget. Just because he is better now doesn’t mean the weird ways he treated uke is ignored. But they are happy now and that’s what really matters =D

Sighhhhhhhh. I have really mixed feelings about them. Specially the seme. He is a good guy, he treats uke kindly, has not raped uke, and is respectful. But it’s all the small stuff (stuff that aren’t majorly important but I have noticed and irked me) about him that although doesn’t make me hate him. I just dislike him for these things.
-the push and pull for so long(seme very experienced in this aspect). He has obviously had many alpha lovers in the past with varying degrees of relationships. He is constantly pulling uke in and the pushing him away (flirting and treating uke almost but not quite fully as a lover, reminding him that they will be done after the contract is done)
-mentioning past alphas and lovers consistently(it would be fine if it happened one or two times but nah) (he makes an excuse that he was thought uke would enjoy it, but that is a really dumb excuse to me)
(Two scenes come to mind for this part, the hickey part where seme apologizes to uke because NoRMALLy seme ONLY gives his lovers hickys. The other scene is the flowers scene where he mention how most (exs) often gave him pink flowers) (don’t even get me started on the scene where they were having sex and seme starts talking about his alpha exs, that pissed me off beyond words)
-the fact that uke’s love is so innocent and uke is being so easily strung along the seme’s suave. Honestly I both love and hate this aspect. Uke has never been in love or treated like the way seme has treated Uke. As a result, Uke is so easily swept up along the wave of seme. I love this because it is really cute, but I dislike this because it feels a bit wrong to me because it seems like he would almost do anything for seme with love tinted glasses.
I want to reiterate that I dislike seme but I don’t hate him because fundamentally, seme has not hurt or wronged uke physically. These things I mentioned are just things I personally wish could have been different or gone in another way.
-Also although I dislike seme, I love uke, and I think uke deserves seme because uke has loved seme greatly. It is very easily visible how much Uke desires the love of seme. That is why overall I am happy for them still and love them still.
I get your opinion but the seme stood his ground cuz of what the uke said from the start to begin with so either way they both didn’t start off with a romantic approach but only for “conditions” your take is so ass ngl
Oh yeh, I finished it now. And I think seme is much better now. He literally stopped everything I said I didn’t like about him. He stopped the push and pull thingy. Stopped constantly mentioning his exs. And they’re talked about how he loves uke a lot and that his past lovers shouldn’t affect their relationship and stuff. While I don’t think what he did was good or nice, he has done a good amount to make up for it. Also you said you understood me but I don’t think you did. If you did, you probably would have mentioned that they go over it in future chapters and that he gets better. I was only half way through the story and seme was a good guy but he did some ambiguous things. He basically makes up for it completely.
In the beginning I get it but also Ash didn’t know karlyle was inexperienced until the family scene so I give him slack for that, he got better after learning tho
Also it’s apparent that Ash is freaky asf but holds it back for karlyle so that’s prolly why the dirty talk happened in the first place, to test the waters
Idk what to say besides this is peak story telling. I’ve reread this many times but I feel like it gets better every time. Every evil character is evil but with a purpose that is so thoroughly explained or hinted. Ohera with her fear of love passed from her mother casts MC out of Jeremy’s wedding(in past life, but the fear is the same in new life). Jonesses reacting to necklace almost like PTSD and then abusing MC(that doesn’t justify shit, but I can see how he went from nice guy to full psycho). MC brother, looking to use other people.
But at the same time, non-evil characters are also explored in depth. Nora’s villager friends are explored and given depth in how their view of Nora changes over time. Many more but I’m hella tired from binging this all day. I started this are like 7ish Pm and now it’s like 10am. OM so unhealthy of me oof(〜￣△￣)〜

I just finished the main story and am so disappointed it’s not even funny. Monster boy was soooooo much better than grand duke. The duke literally locked MC up in the past life under the pretense of protecting him, nahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!(╯°Д °)╯╧╧. Monster boy has always been protecting MC and doing his best to do anything to make MC happy. Nahhhhhhhhhh!!! This was high-key the worse possible ending. Literally 3p relationship would have been 10 times better, and that’s saying a lot because I was fully on board with Monster boy X MC. I’ll admit this story was funny but the ending is hella pissing me off. Spoiler here now but wtf do you mean Monster boy dies and that’s is supposed to make MC happy. TF! (╬￣皿￣)凸
Trust me on this one. DON’T read this one. It actually ruined my mood. Ew. I thought it was gonna be a good poly relationship. It wasn’t. Everything sucks, I literally can’t think of one thing I liked.
It makes me sad how real that is. High schoolers are awkward, stubborn, and afraid to take the first step. So when MC and ML stop talking and that extends to few years, it’s almost sad how realistic that can be. They fought over something that could easily be solved through communication but in the end they dissipated and distanced. The seme made empty promises(to be with uke at uke’s next birthday) and the uke regretted his past decision. God it makes me depressed, BUT at least there is a happy ending.

Well it's not a problem to me because I'm kind of a psychopath and a masochist
I really like the ideas and concepts but it feels like everything has no context. We are basically being introduced to MC’s kingdom that he made into the #1 kingdom but the only context to this is that he changed his kingdom’s attributes to be dark(this is never explained what this does). Also characters are really close to MC but we are just supposed to know that. I’m not very far but it honestly feels like I missed like 30 chapters or something and am reading in the middle of the story and not the beginning. It feels like I am being told the story in the wrong chronological order or smt. （￣へ￣）
i think the story telling isnt linear, and we will eventually get the side characters background stories as it goes.

although some stories can works with non-linear plot, revealing mystery bit by bit but it just doesn't feel that good reading this story in that way.
maybe it's bc what they hide (don't explain) to readers aren't just characters' secrets but also the important part of world building. maybe bc it's related to plot and big reveal, so author can't reveal all the important world building however it take a lot of enjoyment because we aren't familiar with this world building concept at all, unlike stuff like dungeon or otome game.
author fail to make us familiar with the concept of empire building, what lords actually do (except being an icon and having skill to help sometimes), and why no one questions why they suddenly thrown into the game. so everything feel so abrupt and they keep it like that for a long time (one season+)
in turn they focus on smut that just adding more confusion and awkwardness to the characters dynamic (that I just know may not be present in the original novel) so it is just fan service? tbh to me it neither hot or sexy bc I am still very much confused with many stuff
