stories that utilize the “oh well the soul was off so that’s why everyone hates the MC” is literally just rebranded ableism. that’s the type mentality that led to autistic people (and those with other mental/physical conditions) historically being killed or seen as subhuman. humans do, as any animal, have an unconscious aversion to “the unknown” but with fuckin compassion and understanding it’s so fucking easy to counteract that aversion.

ML quite literally approaches this devout FL with the intention of emotionally manipulating her to fall for him (bc he’s bored ig) by sending gifts and comforting her, but gets shocked when she’s pious- be so fuckin fr. ML then doubles down on manipulation tactics but inevitably, he’ll fall first. maybe the FL knows this? both her “fathers” harbored an obsession for the FL.. and her brother prob did too so maybe she recognizes the signs?
no part of this is cute or wholesome. the ML fucked with the FLs abusive family’s already abysmal finances and inadvertently led to the FL being SOLD, BEATEN, and nearly SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by some fuckwad.. JUST SO HE CAN RESCUE HER?!?!

ALSO the oath insignias look like either self harm or stretch marks, and not at all like a sacred symbol. overall, the gods in this world aren’t really fleshed out despite them being referenced early into the series. the author is just throwing a bunch of shit at the wall and hoping it sticks- but instead of tossing what falls off, the author tacks shit onto other shit to make it more convoluted yet poorly developed.
tall ML and hella petite woman with disproportionately large tibbies.. she’s prob gonna “tame him” with outings, food and ofc.. sex. at least they’re both consenting adults? but the proportions make it icky.. women have fat and muscle in places other than their chest, especially if they got massive honkers.. also the strain of carrying that weight on a small thin frame would lead to chronic back issues for sure.

also- DO NOT FEED DUCKS AND OTHER WATERFOWL (like geese, swans, etc) BREAD!! especially when young, it leads to a condition called “angel wings” in which the last joints of the wings twist outward, leaving them flightless and vulnerable. it’s caused by eating high calorie, protein rich man-made foods like bread and popcorn during the the rapid growth phase of development. if caught early enough it can be treated, but most adult birds with angel wing are either dead or being cared for by humans
yk these authors love to include not only abusive families but predatory teachers too.. it’s giving diet harada. otherwise, the art is nice but the chapters are too short </3

on one hand it’s cool that this time loop is actually fleshed out with the divine artifact, and the “twist” was decent as bodyguard 2nd MLs def give incel vibes.. ofc he’d trap her in a loop of death where she’d have no choice but to choose him.. and yet still FAIL. （/TДT)/

a family of emotionally stunted men acquire a cinnamon roll who teaches them how to express themselves more healthily.. but you throw in HELLA FUCKIN TRAUMA for the FL and a pretty fleshed out magic system. the desertification of the estate is also really interesting, and i hope the curse/magic are developed more (i want a training arc).. HOWEVER.. they put a leash and collar on a child, which is WACK as fuck. harness have existed since like- 1500BC. i’m sure some high class tailor could make a fancy harness. (⊙…⊙ )
the FL is also severely traumatized, and every powerful man in the story post fire, is highkey threatening/abusive and manipulative. the ducal dudes aren’t as bad bc they feel pity for the FL almost immediately and start to dote on her (in their own weird ways). idk if the trauma the FL experienced is ever gonna be addressed aside from these CPTSD flashbacks.. and the fact that the FL has to spend time with what is essentially a corpse to supposedly “bring her back to life” with magic. oof. that can’t be good for her psychosocial development.
