He is an idiot. Through and through.
Yes it might be majorly his patents fault but at what point do we draw the line and admit that he didn't it himself?
Lorraine grew up in the same hating environment as he did and still chose to love and chose the right path. Given that she had more handicap as she was born a woman with less power on that time period. Yet she still understood her father and mother were evil.
Ballsack on the other hand, chose violence and chose hate at every turn. Chose Astana and the crown over his own sister. He knew how cruel Astana could be. Yet he still wanted her to sacrifice for him.
I'm sorry but I want hom to suffer more.
And NO. Tia didn't choose mercy for Ballsack, it just so happens that if he dies, it will benefit the empress. So he needs to live. And ofc, imagine living like a rat for the rest of his life... I would concur that dying would've been far more merciful.
His parents' selfishness and short-sightedness definitely rubbed off on him. The main difference between him & his sister Lorraine is that he's the main benefactor of his parents' assholery and pettiness, and probably often at Lorraine's cost. Definitely not saying he's not to blame, though. Just saying everyone in his family is asshole except for his sister, and this exception was probably because poor Lorraine was often excluded & exploited in this family.
But aside from Perez and ofc my lovely girl Tia, cute grandaddy and my precious Gallahan... my favorite character is Lavini...
Gurl!!! This is the same thing I felt with cersei lannister. Lavini kinda reminds me of cersei, just a little tamed. JUST REALLY! I LOVE AND HATE THEM SO MUCH! idk how this feeling should be categorize as...
Am I in awe because their characters were wonderfully evil, manipulative, human and brilliant?? Or did the admiration came from the woes of a very capable Figurehead who was just so unlucky to be born as a woman in a very patriarchal society and family???
They said in history, that a woman's weapon is her charm, beauty and her poison... I guess they both have it!!!
Do I have a villain/villainess syndrome?..???????
She is one of the best and most consistently written antagonists in this genre, so I feel you. She genuinely has her own motivations, good or bad, and sticks to them. She is a strong opponent for the protagonists. She keeps her head up even as she is falling for now. She is a product of her time and upbringing but is a great representation of the old school vs the new school, lavini could have had her own story rising to empress seat and taking control of her own family, but this is kind of her post game where she has become corrupt. She’s not stupid, she just could never have predicted this is Tia’s second life
I understand you my friend (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
It's very rare for me to like Human Villainess, usually I like those demonic kind of villainess since what do you expect for those demons, goodness of the heart?
But this kind of villain, Lavini is different, I can understand why the emperor chose her, she is indeed an Empress (▰˘◡˘▰)... unlike those empresses we knew that can only used their legs open to get the crown, this Lady used everything to achieve her goal! ヾ(☆▽☆)
(Doesn't mean I support her mindset but she is worthy of being called the Villaines of the our dear Tia)
Real, I love her because I hate her so much. She is really well developed as a villain and unlike other stories, she isn’t evil just for the sake of being evil. She also isn’t evil in an almost goofy way that I’ve read in other stories lol. She’s the perfect villain of the story and you gotta love to hate her lol
Spoilers for the upcoming noble meeting about who will be the representatives of the west.
When Tia tells everyone that she's the owner of pellet Corp... that's when the emperor and empress will realize that it wasn't lulac lombardi... they'll realize that it was an 8 year old Tia the whole fvcking time
GHHHADDD I KENNOT WAIT
You'll have to guess what this is coz I won't tell~~
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
You'll also have to guess what occasion this is~~~

Take a chill pill, remember this was based on renaissance kinda like that period. He's a prince by default and by those standards alone, him hitting his subordinate/servant/helper for not doing his duty is light.
- trigger has been entrusted with chloe's safety in the mountains back in the first few chapters or atleast to ensure that chloe doesn't run away and return her in the stables.
- although chloe is a slave, everyone has accepted that the archduke favors her and even thinks that they have a relationship.
So archduke hitting him is a very LIGHT initial reaction.
He could've been imprisoned right on the bat or decapitated just because the archduke might feel like it.

I expected the main story to be over by 300... but by this rate I think it would be more.. so imma let this one simmer a little more.
Is there still a lot left? Feels like we're reaching the end
I think the story is like 2/3rds in? But I think it really depends on how much they cram into each chapter. They usually take a hiatus in September, so we have 13-16 chapters left in the year. Odds are that it will finish next year with one more season (I could be wrong).
Yeah.... next year and then the side stories begin again
Yeah the main story in the novel ends in like 260-280ish. Then the side stories... the novel is at 314 rn, (but that's still for the unfinished side stories)
There's still a loooitttt left. Revenge on empress, emperor, on agenas, claiming of the throne and other things really
