This chapter was so extremely expressive that I felt the genuine despair in her eyes, pierce my heart. I feel her pain so terribly. To love someone so horrible and to realise you still have feelings for them is such agony. People might be thinking the fl should just stop liking him but feelings are so fickle. They can’t just stop automatically. She has always been subconsciously drawn to him but right now she was at least able to come to terms with it and face the truth in her heart. I think it’s best for her to accept rather than deny. It’s not like she’s giving him the benefit of the doubt even if she does in fact love him. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. She may loathe him so much but love him all the same but her end goal is to have her beloved child and leave her husband. She is not weak for being vulnerable and susceptible to his suffering as she spent an entire lifetime caring for him.

Reading the comments here, I am absolutely disgusted. How can people not admit that it was a rape scene? He said multiple times that he didn't want to do it, there was no verbal consent at all. Also, the lack of research on anal sex is just sad, irl doing this sort of thing without any preparation would have only been extremely painful. Listen, I am an adult, I only came here to say this BUT even if your body reacts, it doesn't mean you enjoy something. "but he likes it cause he's a masochist" has to be the worst take when it comes to an abuse victim like the guy in this story. For gods sake, he's an abuse victim who gets raped and people are cheering for the rapist in the comment section. If this was a BL work, most readers would be outraged, but because the mc is a woman people are calling her a girlboss for being an abusive rapist. He only "likes" their dynamic because he doesn't know better, which is common for real life abuse victims. Let's not even mention the cover that depicts him in a humiliating position with his rapist literally stepping on his injured body. Disgusting.

When the ML complimented MC on her dress, saying that she looked like the brightest star, I feel like that had some hidden meaning. After the god Rachel, the stars were the next most revered (but seen as disgusting and revolting by followers of Rachel), and the people who worshipped the stars were sorcerers who were exterminated. She’s a star, opposing Rachel’s influence and changing the faith of those who see her, while gathering demons and the like around her, like the sorcerers. I just find it fascinating.

So like does it still taste like strawberries? Or isn’t the taste different now when she had a baby? He said that the taste was slightly different last time?
