The people mad at Chayoung clearly understand sh*t about amnesia...
He's definitely not perfect, but even before the accident, he was the one putting the most effort into their relationship. He matured, became a good husband to Gyuha, and was almost always the proactive one—the one carrying the emotional weight of the relationship— while Gyuha mostly went along with things and rarely opened up about his own feelings.
Yet somehow people expect Chayoung to wake up with no memories and instantly pick up exactly where he left off, like nothing happened. And blaming him for not going back to being a doting husband, or for acting like he doesn’t care about his kids when he clearly can’t even process the fact that he is married and has a family to begin with, instead of acknowledging how devastating and disorienting amnesia actually is, is just ridiculous.
Some of these comments genuinely make me wonder whether people here are actual teenagers and whether they understand how memory loss works at all.
Gyuha also needs to step up now, he can’t keep the same passive role—still emotionally distant and stuck in his old ways— while Chayoung can no longer be the one holding things together as much anymore, and expect things to work...
People talking about switching, like during season 1 when the author already made it clear their positions would be Enzo top/Rian bottom and no switching, is legit exhausting

This issue blew up so much it even reached Korean media sites (like theqoo), and many Koreans are baffled and urging the author to scrap the whole thing, saying it’s problematic and questioning whether they’re insane for handling such a sensitive topic in such a half-assed way. They’re also saying not to mess with other countries’ history using such a lazy premise !!
So the commenters here who were arguing there’s no issue with it or saying “let’s wait and see,” you’ve been exposed ! There’s no excuse for you anymore, not that there was any to begin with, it’s obvious many of you are either hypocrites, racists, or ignorant fujos, or all of the above, especially when even Koreans can recognize the problem here, and are asking the author to change the premise.

That’s not the point. The bigger issue is the romanticization and historical washing of these subjects. So yeah, the fact that some people will ignore or excuse something and keep reading doesn’t mean those who pay attention to these issues have to stay silent.
If our voices can reach even a small number of people and make them think more deeply about it, that’s already a win.
It’s better than letting ignorance and a lack of awareness go unchallenged.
The premise is already problematic as it is, but just imagine if there’s ever a grape scene on top of that, it'll be the icing on the cake !
