Despite the high rating, this is quite mediocre. The chemistry between Mason and Noah isn't really there, Noah is just obsessed with Mason and Mason is just going along the ride. Mason still viewed Noah as a child most of the time, I believe the only reason he even developed feelings was because he is in Haley body (explaining the wet dreams and thinking about him a lot). Especially when Mason was a straight man until Haley's body basically "craves" the male touch.
Also speaking of Haley, he gets no justice and no happy ending. Haley was manipulated since he was a child, drug addicted, sex addicted, and needed psychological help. Clearly he still had a heart since he was sending money to all his relatives and he didn't have the strength to fight back, with barely his manager by his side that wasn't the best role model or try to help him grow. Constantly taking advantage to the point of being so desperate for love that he spent 30k using his life to save Noah's life. I honestly wished he somehow switched into Mason's body, it healed (like switch body magic automatically healed him) and he started a new life because of confusion and became happy.
Instead Haley's body is being used and Noah is constantly talking about how "slutty" his body is and degrading him. When Haley's body reactions is the only reason theyre together. Idk, everything just gave me a big ick. I guess I'm glad Noah and Mason gets a happy ending, but Haley deserves justice and love too.
This was good, but you can tell they just rushed the ending. I love the couple and how MC is strong and extremely smart, and his light doesn't diminish just because he is in love (like other BLs do to MCs). I hate how everyone got a happy ending except for Varabus, his arch ends so abruptly.
I understand Varabus is supposed to be the villian (and supposedly tries to rape MC in the a possible future), but I felt like that was extremely out of character. Varabus definitely took advantage, but there wasn't much he could do with his lack of power compared to ML, and he kept MC safe all those years from being killed by the king even if it came at a cost. And now Varabus has to be unhappy and marry some random noble lady, everyone else got redemption, why couldn't he?
Also the weird turn with the orphanage's director, like why? It just made the MC look like a asshole even if it was his money. It would be one thing if the director got rich was pocketing the money for luxuries, but he instead used all the money to provide for the children that nobody else was doing (as we see that nobody cares about commoner children). Like the MC said the director wanted to look like a saint, but its not like it stopped the orphanage from shutting down, he didn't get any fame, literally no one knows him outside that small ass village. So I felt like the director's punishment to be a old man panhandling was too cruel.
Speaking of orphans, what happened to the counts son the MC and ML promised to raise? He got the permission for the royal library and then left with the ML. Kind of rude.
Speaking of the ML's empire, what happen to the betrayers? They just gloss over that after the ML talks to the emperor, even his bloodline being forcibly injected with dragon blood was glossed over.
Cute story, mostly okay pacing, probably won't reread. Especially when a big plot point was sex and then they show 1/4 chapter of it towards the end. Also they never explain why certain people have in their DNA the ability to tolerate dragon's blood. I thought they would dive into it that actually most of the spouses originate from that village because the dragon herb is actually used in the food, building tolerance for generations or something.
You know what I actually agree about Varabus. I guess it's a morally grey area. I actually wanted to see the king get his lashings... he's litt the one who wanted to hurt MC. Of course Varabus played a part but the king litt wanted to kill MC. Just felt a lot was rushed, you can sense the author had plans for more but decided to wrap it up lol
I definitely agree with the points about it being rushed. Varabus’ look of shock when the giant elemental was attacking the castle attempting to frame the Eastern kingdom made it seem like we’d be interested to more villains to be apprehended.
However, I very much disagree with your first two paragraphs. Did you forget that Varabus attempted to rape and hold Ennid permanently hostage? And that nothing about the pressure from his family required him to be cruel to Ennid all throughout school? Redemption was definitely a possible story arc but imo not a necessary one.
Also I’m fairly certain the count just asked Ennid to be legally listed as the illegitimate child’s legal guardian in title alone, not to actually raise them. I think the count intended to raise the child himself regardless but wanted someone respectable listed as the child’s guardian for the sake of standing. I guess the reasoning would be that the count didn’t want his own guardianship to highlight the child’s illegitimacy, and the original choice of the orphanage director due to his wrongdoings would look bad for the child.
Finally, the orphanage director still robbed Ennid blind. Imagine if you found out the only parental figure to ever exist in your life as far as you can remember lied to your face the entire time, and didn’t ask your permission a single time before making sure that you lived a life of misery that your dying parents (who already donated a lot of their money to the orphanage) worked their lives to prevent, keeping you from ever even knowing anything about your parents since that would expose him. He got what he deserved.
2/10 stars, the 2 stars is only because I like FL, Lisa, Pavel, and the interaction between FL and the royal family.
This was brutal to read until the end. You want a really quick synopsis of this? The song Toy by Block B is FL entire story with the ML.
It's take until CHAPTER 107 for the ML to actually show "love", and thats a strong word to use. Get the fuck out of here. That is 70% of the entire webtoon. I can't believe this has such a high rating despite all the emotional and mental abuse FL went through, not just by ML but everyone else. Everyone that is on FL can be counted on one hand.
I thought he would slowly grow in his feelings, but ML is unbearable in every chapter. Even in later chapters he tells her to smile and even though she is faking it as she's in pain, he tells her to fake smile again while saying mentally that he has a right to a smile.
FL is treated like a pet goldfish that someone got for free at a fairground the entire time. Not even a pet dog or cat.
Literally right after her miscarriage in chp 108, he is like oh time will pass and she will be able to conceive again.
Don't get me started on how he didn't care if she was uncomfortable with sex and said it was okay as long as he smiled at her afterwards. ML knows how much of a shithead he is, how neglectful and cold he is, even if you remove the entire Gladys drama, he is still the worst. I honestly wished that FL got with Pavel or the crown prince. Would've it been much more boring? Yes, but at least she would've been truly happy. He doesn't care about her emotions or the shit he puts her through, how her name is rubbed in mud the entire time, even the FL acknowledges that she would've been kept in the dark if it wasn't for Gerald's sister publishing the truth.
There is no excuse for his behavior, he has no sad background except for the Gladys thing, nobody else in his entire family is as hateful or awful. He didnt have a bad upbringing, his father isn't constantly trying to make him king (you know considering instead of forcing him to get better at writing, they just hired poets).
The title really does fit, but I thought it would be lovey dovey with just some miscommunication based off front cover. This is as toxic as a lot of BLs.
Does ML really know anything about FL except that she likes flowers? Because he always tries to buy her expensive things and not meaningful things (except the typewriter maybe?).
I dropped at chapter 128 because I know after is the redemption arch where FL forgives him and they live happily ever after despite him not apologizing or feeling sorry once. He even said she doesn't have the money or law or power to get a divorce from him in that same chapter and same breathe of saying "let's start dating".
And the fact that everyone else is on ML side saying they understand why he hid the Gladys thing when it is isn't the only shitty thing he did. Dude even got irritated at FL and thought she was in the way because he couldn't smoke a cigar at lunch. He should've stayed a bachelor instead of dragging FL into this. Don't forget his reaction when she first brought up divorce. Or when she revealed she knew about him doing a bet with his friends on who can get her first and he goes "So?". Lets not even talk about how he spents most of his nights out getting drunk or playing poker because he loves winning or FL embarrassing herself on the cruise due to ML. I haven't seen a single redeemable quality of his that could justify anything he's done.
Why include a honeymoon plot if she just spends it alone and he uses the excuse of diplomatic tasks to treat her like a ghost.
FL is just another prize to be one and the author allows him to win every time. FL is treated like a prostitute he paid for whenever they slept together and just hit it and run.

So glad Violet got her happy ending, honestly didn't start liking Winter until the last 30 chapters. This was so hard to binge read. Whenever he got into a depressive state about seeing her shoot herself, all I could think to myself is whomp whomp, your wife already ended her life 3 times along with mental and physical abuse from others for years, treated like a object, accused of love affairs, sexual harassment, having no friends to comfort her, went through fake pregnancy, husband who ignored her for years, and the only reason she isnt dead is because magic *cough* plot armor *cough*. Im glad he got trapped into that illusion for what felt like 7 years (lowkey still wasnt enough for me since she was still dead in that scenario). I like how the plot tries to say it was a misunderstanding between Violet and Winter and was all dued to his parents, but it was clearly him. He made the choice to never see his wife (even if you excuse him leaving the wedding), not caring about her expenses, never talking to her, not giving her the time of day, always thinking she is saying nonsense (look back the beginning chapters), thinks his wife would cheat on him, etc. Even after knowing his wife was locked in a closet, he was still taking his parents side. Im glad the illusion was basically how it would've ended in webtoon without magic. Lowkey I wish Carlson got a redemption arch, because he was right, Violet didn't forgive Carlson despite him not being as bad Winter because he wasnt Winter *cough* plot armor *cough*, Carlson was a lovestruck man who got addicted to alcohol and drugs, manipulated by Ash and was never given a chance or anybody helping him. Especially considering all the money went to Ash and Carlson only shot Winter. Even Carlson called Violet out about how Winter made her suicidal.
Ash got his dued desserts. Glad to see Violet's mother turned around instantly after she heard her daughter already tried to end her life, she loved her children, but didnt love Ash to the point she wanted Violet to die.
This is barely a 4/5 and only because I love their kids and the side characters. I miss all the characters from when Violet ran away to Kirion.
This isn't even suspension bridge effect, this is straight Stockholm syndrome. Readers tolerated it because the ML is hot, imagine he looked like the Baron, people would be pissed. If you think about it, Belle and MC's story is pretty similar, both assaulted and forced to have a baby, not having a choice in love.
You could read the first 3 chapters and the last 3 chapters and it would be exactly the same. There is no character development what so ever, it apparently happens between the MC's pregnancy, but we never see it. MC doesn't even forgive, he just let it go because he doesn't have the choice to say no.
The ML is completely unlikeable, threatening MC in the beginning to kill the village then again at the end by saying if he DOESN'T become empress, he will be executed. And ML knows that MC would just leave him because the MC doesn't love him, so he forces him to become pregnant, which still didn't stop MC from leaving.
I honestly wish we saw the pregnancy process and they made it tragic, like the MC gets depression and talks about how much he despises the ML and wish he was never pregnant, forcing the ML to grow as a person and change.
The world building had so much potential (like the evil energy), but it never goes anywhere and just ended abruptly with zombie chaos.
Even the side character story is kind of sad since white hair wants love and green hair is only staying for money.
I hoped it would get better and it never did. All these trauma things and power abuse happens to the MC but it's never addressed or taken seriously, especially considered MC has trauma from his entire family being slaughters (reasons unknown).
I dont like the couple or the plot.
1. Age gap - a 17 year old HIGHSCHOOLER is with like a 30 year old ADULT. The experience and social maturity is apparent and highly uncomfortable to watch. Riku is literally a pet.
2. Iriya - acts like a bitch to the Riku and how he's better suited and the Riku should leave then all of a sudden Iriya takes him in and basically raises him. Iriya also loves to call Riku gullible and not understanding anything, when he just found out he is a omega like 2 weeks ago when he was raised to be alpha. Also Riku is 17 around a bunch of adults playing power games with someone who didn't even get the chance to debut into elite society.
3. Riku's family - I got so fucking confused, cause in the beginning chapters you clearly see that his family didnt want to sell him off to Keiki and Riku is the one who makes that decision, but in later chapters the family abandoned the Riku and he has no family????
Ayato plothole - Ayato literally told Riku that he's been holding back since they were kids and that he loved him and he apologized and wants to continue to be his best friend despite his feelings, yet when Iriya comes around, all of a sudden, Riku doesn't know Ayato's feelings anymore??? Also that Ayato just allowed a stranger (Iriya) to just take Riku when he was running away.
Keiki - Not once does he say he loves Riku, only that he's his fated pair and he must protect him. He doesn't hang out with Riku at all. All they do is fuck. Name one chapter where they go on a date or even a walk in a park. But Keiki just expects Riku to stay in the house alone and go nowhere and see nobody, when he himself is busy with his life.
Riku's capabilities - Why is everyone acting like Riku's is a dumb fuck? When he literally the top student at a elite ALPHA school and should have a full ride scholarship to every college. Not only that, his ID still has him as a alpha so nobody knows he's a omega except for the top elite alphas who saw him with Keiki.
Happy ending but mid. No actual plot or drama, and whatever drama there was, was glossed over. Mother not telling MC he was a omega, ML snatching MC from his entire life, MC no longer able to pursue his dreams as a architect, MC's dad is famous yet nonexistent (they never said he died or anything), ML brother did one shitty thing and he suddenly became the villian when the ML did the same thing with his pheromones and had sex with MC despite MC not knowing his feelings yet, all of a sudden ML's brother didn't want the throne anymore and he never actually wanted the throne and ML and his brother got along this entire time???, finally the Yeseul thing being thrown out of proportion and no apology from friend. I feel like there are more issues, but I can't remember the rest. I feel like there were actual issues to address to make it wholesome, but we gloss over everything to see 95% sex scenes and 5% plot. Also the fact the MC becomes more and more twink or even child like as the chapters go on. No more strong headed, running away, confident MC.
If you pretend anything from before like chapter 35 didn't happen, you can enjoy this since the author just changes the ML personality and character, a complete 180. The redemption arch is not only fast paced but makes no sense.
The MC is manipulated to dating the ML, then locked up and kidnapped, the ML buys everything the MC had connections to so he nowhere to go, ML drugs with a illegal untested drug with unknown side effects (that he himself wouldn't take) MC even though he knows MC has a frail body and he could die, ML literally makes MC bleed and slices half his arm and does nothing about it, then ML rapes MC and basically rips out MC insides because he knotted and ripped his dick out and the MC is bleeding and faints from the pain. Not only that, the entire time the ML is talking shit about the MC and its never explained why he fell in love with MC except for the strawberry omega scent. The ML deadass doesnt even like the MC. I was rooting for MC to escape and be a single parent. Honestly think people are letting ML off the hook because he's good-looking and has money. If he was ugly, would not be as receptive.
If it was me and my 18 YEAR OLD friend said they was in love with a 6 YEAR OLD, I would beat his ass on the spot and tell everyone else to beat his ass, then tell the child's parents.
Friend literally had the right reaction of "WTF, that's a child", ain't no way they had the friend apologize and pretend it's normal cause he was "serious" of being in love with a CHILD.
If I was his parents, I'm calling the cops. Guess karma hit the parents for giving approval to a pedo by instant dying. Instantly stopped at chapter 14, imagining sex with a CHILD?!?! You cannot look past this, this author is clearly a pedo as well to think this is okay.

Ehhhh, it was okay. I wasn't fan of anybody except MC character development and ML. I don't think MC should have a happy ending with ML cause he is a psychopathic killer, but she also can't blame all of her problems on ML either. If anything, ML was a needed force/person to fix her life. If he didn't come into her life, her relationship with her brother would've ended with him ending his life forever hating her and blaming her, she would've never found out about the abuse her brother went through, she would never stand up for herself, she would've gotten fired from her job with despair due to parents, if she found another job she would've kept being sexually harassed, that pedophile wouldve continued to crime, she would've never set boundaries with her "friend" or told her off, etc. Unfortunately in spite in everythingx her life started to improve after ML came into her life.
I also don't understand how she still thinks of that woman as her friend despite being bullied by her, and its not like her friend learned anything, her friend now blames ML for her own consequences and never acknowledges guilt or remorse (no, I don't really count that casual apology at the end).
I do admire ML for sticking to his morals of killing maggots, as soon as she called him one, he killed himself and removed himself from her life. It's definitely a obsession that his parents should've gotten checked out.
I was enjoying the first half, reminding me of a manwha I just finished reading with the brother being obsessed with his older brother, but the last 15 chapters I was forcing myself through.
Also the plot with the detective I thought was ridiculous how MC and MC's brother believed the detective instantly instead of the perceived good actions ML had done for them. I'm surprised the detective wasn't shut down considering he was stalking the ML with 0 evidence and the biggest hunch and conspiracy theory ever that he framed suicides for no reason at all except wanting a pen and a watch.
