The dialogue feels really choppy and unnatural, like a conversation where both people keep zoning out. And Timothy!! How is this guy a professional reporter? He runs into deadly and questionable situations just because a hot stranger gives him a cryptic wink. It doesn't feel like an adult supernatural mystery—it feels like a group of impulsive teenagers sneaking around at summer camp. If they were actually high schoolers or collegers, the naivety and recklessness would make sense! But with adult characters, it just pulls me out of the story.
I'm genuinely curious. Did anyone else feel this tonal disconnect, or were you able to look past it for the beautiful art? Honestly, chapter 19 was it for me... I really couldn't keep reading anymore ( ̄∇ ̄")
This feels nostalgic… (⊙…⊙ )
I started reading it the same year it was uploaded, so damn, it’s been nearly 10 years now. And somehow I still come back, hoping for a new chapter even though I already know there probably won’t be one… ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Uploader here. I’ve looked into the authors work regarding this series and they don’t continue it any further from what I’ve seen. You can G&&g1e it and it will give a brief summary:
“ The main manga story Hana to Junketsu (The Vampire and the Virgin Rose) by Komachi Katsura is a 1-volume complete series. However, it is often listed or sold in English digital format as a 6-part chapter collection or "6-book series" (Volumes 1-6) on platforms like @mA☡

So let me get this straight: The Duke has the power to close a corrupt orphanage, but he doesn't have the decency to secure housing for the kids first? ( ̄∇ ̄")
These children only stayed in that haunted, miserable place because they were desperate and destitute. And to make it worse, he's letting the evil director be the one to throw them out? That's not justice; that's just passing the cruel buck. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Those poor kids didn't deserve any of this. (╥﹏╥)
I'm hoping next chapter covers that cause it's a stupid plot hole. Maybe they were given funds or smth to relocate the kids but didn't and just killed them, which lead to those ghosts?
