I think it's pretty obvious that a lot of bl stories have rape in them , its not something I support or want to normalise but its still objectively a common trope That aside why do comments hating on rape under a bl story get so much backlash? Like people really be defending anything and everything these days with a 'don't like don't read' comment? Any minor hate on a popular story against toxic themes , gets the 'no one is forcing you to read this' like please where is the logic , it still pisses me off to this day that ts happens
Istg it's as if we're not supposed to call out a particularly problematic theme within the story which should be criticized especially if it's romanticized? The 'Don't like; don't read' comments genuinely pmo because they're as though implying that they like the romanticized rape that is happening in the story?? reply
