I think it's pretty obvious that a lot of bl stories have rape in them , its not something I support or want to normalise but its still objectively a common trope That aside why do comments hating on rape under a bl story get so much backlash? Like people really be defending anything and everything these days with a 'don't like don't read' comment? Any minor hate on a popular story against toxic themes , gets the 'no one is forcing you to read this' like please where is the logic , it still pisses me off to this day that ts happens
it's amazing how people who say "don't like, don't read" never seem able to apply it to comments they don't like and conversations they never want to have. that line only applies for stuff like fanfics and some other fanworks where hate and other reactions are a direct engagement with the work in question (comments under a fic, replies/quotes to a ...... reply
