What makes a story “well written”?
What actually makes a story “well written” to you? I’ll read something that’s objectively kinda messy, but something about it still allures me and I rate it high, even when other people write it off as bad. So what’s your bar for well written? And if a story isn’t well written, why does it still pull you in anyway?
to me, the main factor is how human the character feels. characters that feel real because their goals, conflicts, and actions arise from a coherent psychological foundation, if you're capable of making me feel for a character and relate the concept of a human to him, I'm sold on the show.
