I’ve just been rereading some of the manhwas i finished and/or dropped and noticed that a lot of them ended up having fake reincarnation where MC actually regressed and the memories of reading a novel were actually fake.

I wanna hear about other people’s thoughts since i think of it as such a cop-out overused trope to make stories “more interesting” i guess?? Like i honestly think its fine when done well but i see so many that ive dropped just being like oh mc was never just some korean who got reincarnated after being car-kun-ed but rather someone who came from the future with repressed memories. A lot of the time, mc was brought back by some loved one or a villain dark magic voodoo user and i’m just like “how did you know what a car and a traffic light was and what a korean is dude??” Like lowkenuinely i wouldve been fine if like their memories are from a fairytale story they read as a child but the memories are blurry because that’s honestly more believable than someone regressing and never actually reincarnating instead of dying in og world to reincarnating in our world then back to og world like doctor elise or smth.

i dont really like omegaverse. not saying i hate it but i avoid it when im reading manhwas. maybe its because ive been reading the wrong ones. dont bash me but i dont really like the concept of omegas especially the fact that they can get pregnant... the concept resembles females (bg) a little too much and i feel like the concept give room for a lot of problematic plot... and they rly did make some eye opening points that made me feel kinda irked about omegaverse, heres the caption of their post:

I'm not gonna say anything else because some of my few fav manwhas are actually omegaverse, but they're all mostly alpha x alpha and dominant omegas x alphas I just wanna know everyones thoughts abt this cause I know this is a sensitive subject thats been talked about recently.

Personally, I am a big feminist, and after hearing these points I dont really want to consume media that pushes these ideals that can be connected to deeper societal/sexist issues. This whole idea of heat and mpregnancy just seems weird to me now, it feels like blatant mockery of the experience and struggles of being a woman. Idk if I can view omegaverse the same. "Fiction is fiction!!", ok but remember fiction can influence beliefs, values and behaviour. Fiction reflects real human experiences.
