Hitorijime My Hero
I read this because I watched the anime. This is fine, but I wish the relationships were more fleshed out, and the age gap between them seems wider. Kousuke is hotter in the anime by miles but Masahiro somehow looks exactly the same. Kousuke also lacks the charm he had in the anime. Maybe it was his voice actor.
The bartender, whom I call Sebastian for very important reasons, is going to cause some drama, which I'm looking forward to.
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi
I work in publishing and relate to this series on many levels. Kisa & Yukina are my favorites to read about because they're at a stage where their relationship is steady and evolving, so they're dealing with fun roadbumps like not enough time to meet up, being super fucking tired from work, realizing you don't know odd specific details about your SO, family members, impending life changes, and more!
Yokozawa and Kirishima have quickly become my second-favorite couple in this, although I mainly know them from their OVA and light novels.
I'll probably die before Onodera falls in love.
April 2020: Yokozawa and Kirishima had a proper chapter??? They got engaged??? I??????? Cried.
March 2022: 16 days until Onodera falls in love, but we got a FAKEOUT DREAM SEQUENCE that made me scream a little.
Free! - And the Scales Fade to Foam (Doujinshi)
Ouji-sama no Ryuu
Cute start!! I understand this might be ongoing. This is by the same author as Tight Rope. I gasped.
Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai
Yoneda Kou's yakuza drama. This is graphic and features a main character who sleeps around (and we see it). He falls for his bodyguard. But then things go south. Will they end up together? I hope so since I've followed this for a couple of years. Fingers crossed.
Rainy Days, Yesterday
I hope the author continues to work on this story. It has a really lovely start!
Junjou Romantica
I love Misaki. I've dealt with many of the issues he goes through in this story. There is so much dub-con in this series it makes me squirm, but I love him and I want to know how things work out for him. Also, Akihiko really is growing as a person as the series goes on. I'm glad Misaki calls him out on his behavior, and that he legitimately listens. He's controlling and has jealousy issues, but he does work on them, which I am glad to see. I love their story, even though it had a horrible beginning.
June 2022 update: Ijuin-sensei and Yuu getting together made me CRY. So happy for them
Kuroshitsuji
I will follow this manga into Hell. Which considering the title character's a demon is in the cards.
