Ngl the ending is ass. I didn’t expect much from the general plot and I expected the ending. I just didn’t expect the sequence of events and the resolution of the black haired dude.

So it seems the black haired guy is having all complex emotions between liking his half-brother and eunkang as per usual. Then the brother meets mc and pushes a makeout on him, and has a whole news article about wanting eunkang (I could be wrong about the exact article since translation was off). The brother goes to visit black haired guy and has a chat and the black haired guy asks him about eunkang, stuff happens and the brother confronts him over his love for him. He looks down on him as he steps on his crotch, which makes the black haired guy’s dick get hard and he ends up ejaculating. Eunkang goes to confront the brother anbout the anrticle and the brother drugs his drink and rapes eunkang. The black haired guy goes to find him and upset but horny so he joins in on sucking eunkangs dick and then fucks him, and then they both put it into eunkang’s butt, having a threesome. Also the brother shares some of the semen from eunkang(?) with his mouth to the black haired guy and uses tongue. Black haired guy realizes he thinks it’s gross. Then when they finish black haired guy leaves and drops eunkang off, along with a note. There’s a 3 year timeskip, Eunkang finished the movie but did it his own interpretation. He meets black haired guy again and they get together. The brother is not shown in the ending but the author mentions him in the authors note (not really bad or good ending, it just goes no where for him).
My review:
I’ll be honest I didn’t like any of the characters. Of course I didn’t like the brothers the most. The black haired guy annoyed me with his mindset though. Like wdym you were turned on and ejaculated with your brothers foot and then next chapter you’re completely in love with eunkang and are disgusted with the brother. We had to see you lust over him the entirety of the story only for you to change your mind randomly lmao. I would get it if the change and realization was gradual but it wasn’t. I don’t believe someone who lusted and obsessed over his brother for years would get over it and completely cut him off so quick. There wasn’t much of a struggle it was more like he mainly liked the brother with a sprinkle of liking Eunkang on top. Also that threesome was clearly thrown in to satisfy their fantasy or fan service, it did nothing for the plot.
This is like that one omegaverse love triangle/poly replacement story with the pink haired guy. The authors have similar tropes where they have the indecisive guy that uses the mc and then adds the 2nd love interest and makes them do a worse action to make the 1st guy seem like a lesser evil/acceptable.
Okay I remember after this part i stopped reading the novel (or at least put it on hold) cause I got sick of them doing it lmaooo. I didn’t mind their first time sleeping together but there wasn’t much plot right after that, it just felt like they kept having sex. It didn’t help that it’s a novel so the sex scenes got repetitive with the same descriptive words (they used the word ferocious way too many times lol).
It just started my least favorite tropes where the ML gets addicted to sex and they do it too much so they have to make a whole schedule for a sex day of the week- which always makes me think that sounds like such a chore/job to need to REQUIRE sex that often.
Though I’m not saying the whole novel turns into sex scenes- since I did say I put it on hold shortly after their first few times. Im sure it may get back into the plot after this. It’s definitely better to read in manhwa format since i don’t have to see the same words constantly lol
I did not expect the dude with the moles is gay, ngl I like that better than him liking Angela. At first I wanted the blonde guy to be ML but that is out the window since it’s confirmed FL likes the director. I want the blonde guy to be with the mole guy lmaooo. That would be interesting

I also did not expect the fox to be the same age as the rabbit, they didn’t look like they had a 9 year age gap when they were kids. If that’s the case wouldn’t the fox dude have looked to be the same age as the rabbit? Unless the translation was wrong

Anyways I reread from the beginning and it’s cool to see the changes. Not just in art style or the FL’s hair. The FL used to wear more flowy dresses with natural nails, but her style changed to form fitting dresses and long sharp nails. The emperor and FL started matching outfits whenever they’re together in the middle to later parts of the story.
Also I see ppl complain that the ML doesn’t do anything. Tbh since rereading, it looks like the ML’s screentime has lessened. Before he had more scenes and had him move around different areas- but in later chapters he usually is in his office or sticking with the FL. Likely because their relationship has gotten closer. The ML would have scenes of helping in the past like sending guards to help with FL over the Nina incident or the ML going to the masquerade to see FL. In recent chapters it seems the author wants to focus on the women of the story helping each other. So instead of making the ML the hero that saves the FL, they made the consorts show how they joined together to help the FL. They focus on the FL’s power and women’s achievements which I find cool. So I don’t see any reason why there’s complaints of the ML not “doing anything.” The author just wants FL to shine.
I see this artist’s social media posts all the time. The younger kids are a thing but the older ones are so complicated. The older black haired brother doesn’t seem to be interested in the pink haired brother. It’s a shame
Last I checked no the bottom didn’t kill the dad, he’s about to explain that he sent him overseas, so he’s never allowed back in Korea again. So I guess this “he’s dead” is either a joke or “he’s a dead man” on paper.
