I am on track to post the chapter before the next chapter drops. I would have had it done to post earlier, but I've been out of the house a ton this week. I've cleaned and translated the chapter in full, just have the sfx, and the final proofread left, and I can post for you all < 3
Thank you for all your hard work, especially given everything you have going on.
I'm too dumb to figure out how to DM/PM people on this site, apparently.
But do you have a Kofi or anything like that?
Your translations are the highlight of my week whenever they drop, so I'd love to "buy you a coffee" or whatever.
If you know how to direct/private message MangaGo users, please feel free to respond in a direct message to me if you don't want to publish that info in a highly visible location.
Also, I do plan to support the author too, by buying this series.
I'm trying to figure out how to do that, so if you (or anyone who sees this) know(s) how best to do that (e.g., waiting until an official publisher translates to English, buying digital versions of the Korean version, etc.), I appreciate any insights you (or anyone) might have!
I have been insanely busy this week, and haven't had much time to work on the chapter, unfortunately (As of now, I have cleaned all the pages, and translated + added sfx to 3 of 8 of the pages). I know with the time remaining until it's posted, I won't have enough time to properly finish and post the chapter before the next one comes out. I apologize for the extended wait. My time has been eaten up by legal and medical stuff because I am dealing with an ongoing personal injury lawsuit. (I do find it kind of funny that my life is mirroring this story's conflicts a bit. Back when I started my personal injury claim, I was translating the court chapters, and when the plot now involves Garam's health, I finally got my spinal MRI done this week. The head MRI results explained nothing, so I am crossing my fingers the spinal one does.) Personal stuff aside, I will make time and work hard to have it posted by Thursday night at the latest for you guys. Thank you to all of you who are patiently waiting for me <3
We are all adults here, and I don’t really care either way, so I don’t mind being public about it. I am in a lawsuit with an internet/ cell company because they improperly installed a internet wire, which lead to a recycling truck snagging it and it becoming a 7ft high tight trip wire, from one side of the street to the other. I turned on the road on my e-bike, heard someone on the sidewalk yelling “holy shit, watch out”, turned my head to look at him, and hit the wire dead on. I obviously crashed out and smashed my head on the pavement so hard my helmet shattered. I hit the wire on chest level just below the neck, so if it was even a tiny bit higher it would have hit my throat. The internet company who installed the wire have claimed full fault, but until they find out the full rundown of all medical symptoms, I can’t hire or a lawyer or claim for a settlement amount. I am fine and can function normally for the most part, can walk and go about daily life, but I do experience dizzy spells, intense headaches, stress caused head flares (I legitimately almost passed out because I missed a bus, a little after the accident lol), halo tension around my head that doesn’t stop, and my neck is consistently stiff and is painful to move. It does slightly affect working on the chapters because it is hard to lean forward to clean for long periods of time, and if I hyper focus for two long I get horrible ice pick headaches that force me to take breaks. The things that aren’t a big deal are that my left eye and left arm feel like it has less nerve recognition singles to my brain, but I haven’t lost normal functions like sight or grip strength at all. The biggest problem from this accident is that I permanently lost all sexual feeling, I have zero signals to the brain, and it could also mean I’m infertile now, but I will never know unless I try (unlikely lol), because they don’t don’t check unless you are actively trying with no results… other than having to update anything medical to my claim representative via email, nothing is happening in the legal end and could take 2 years to see any compensation. So yeah, that’s everything. I didn’t lose my ability to walk, translate or die, so it definitely could have been worse, but I still want a hella big claim amount. Unrelated to the accident, but I am going to a specialist because I get the same stabbing pain as Garam under my rib and it has been ongoing for a year, while I’ve just ignored it lol The author has convinced me to actually care about it and not let my ridiculous pain tolerance dictate whether I should care or not.
If they're claiming you can't lawyer up until they know the full extent of your injuries, you might try anonymously posting about your experiences on one of those legal advice subreddits (try to be as vague/generic as possible so that whatever you post can't be linked to your actual legal cases) to see if anyone has some helpful insights regarding your situation and what rights / options you have.
You might also check with anyone who lives near where it happened to see if they have Ring or dashcam footage (though it might be to late for that if footage is overwritten as the driver travels).
I made a couple of small changes to the panel dialogue. I moved my first note to the end of the chapter instead of the middle and added some more padding to my notes.
It might not look like a lot of work to someone who has never done a scalation, but the process of start to finish of a single chapter takes me days of dedicated time to complete. It's basically a job I don't get any payment for doing, but do because I want to make people happy.
I personally buy and strip the chapters from l-zhin. After I have the chapter as files on my pc, I then have to resize, and edit the raws into even sized pages and this takes a little over an hour of time. I then have to go through the entire chapter and manually remove any text or sfx from every single panel of every page, either by blurring them (like previous chapters), or manually redrawing over them (Like I did in this chapter). It takes me anywhere from 2 hours to an entire day's time to fully clean a chapter. Only after I am done cleaning the chapter can I start translating. It take's me the longest to translate, because I will breakdown and retranslate panels over and over until the context of the dialogue makes sense. Korean is like Japanese in the way that it's a very synonym heavy language and doesn't use pronouns and singular/plural in the same was as English, so it's
understandable that some things would be hard to translate into English properly.
Especially, when Korean and Japanese sentence structure is SOV (Subject, Object, Verb), while English is SVO (Subject, Verb, Object). My main point is that I can never live up to the quality of the official translation, I am going to misread the context of a context based language here and there, but that doesn't mean I don't put hours of my time into making sure my translations are as close to the official as I possibly can. I am absolutely thankful for all of you who like and are supportive of my translations <3 - Hugsbl94
It's not about wanting Garam to experience anything bad, and the only purpose for it happening at all would be to get Jaehyuk to finally understand the true weight of homophobia. He's never going to take homophobia seriously until he experiences it himself, or sees someone he cares about experience it. I would rather Jaehyuk be the one attacked by homophobes personally, but Meri did make a good point that it would be more impactful on Jaehyuk if he saw Garam go through it as a result of his actions. If they are back together, and Jaehyuk still doesn't understand the consequences of homophobia, then it will be an issue for Garam when he gets a job, and can and will be fired if found out he's gay. He needs to experience it so there is no lack of confidence in their relationship once everything is mended between the two of them. It comes off as wanting something negative, but the end result is positive.

I think this song sums up this manhwa pretty well lol
A thought occurred to me while I was working on this chapter. The previous chapter ends with Garam crying with his arm over his face while the phone rings beside him. This probably means, and will most likely be called back to in the next chapter, that Garam answered the phone while crying. This would mean Garam's breathing without saying anything was probably due to choking back tears until he could finally say something. His eyes throughout this chapter look tired, and that is probably from the eye strain of crying. I also want to remind people of Garam's hunger strike since I see no one mentioning it. It has not been confirmed or denied that he broke the hunger strike since denying to eat at the college. Starving yourself mixed with heightened emotions makes it next to impossible to think with a clear mind. Garam even said that leaving was an impulse and had to argue with himself whether it was the right choice to make or not. Garam cannot think clearly and is building more and more walls instead of facing the problem, and Jaehyuk is forcing answers out of him while getting more and more angry when Garam does reply. My prediction is that Garam is going to go into a pretty heavy depression because he can't agree with Jaehyuks ultimatum, and they will break up. Either Garam is going to go to Sunhong himself to tell him about their breakup, or he is going to see Sunhong hiding his depression, and Sunhong is going to see right through him because he's seen him at his lowest before. I then think Sunhong is going to be the middleman that brings them back together because he's older and has been shown to give unbiased opinions when needed.
Hugs here, I am late posting the chapter because I just had no time to work on it, this week specifically. I try to get the chapters posted before the next chapter releases, but it just wasn't possible, so apologies for the added wait. I will 100 percent have it posted before 24 hours have past since the time of posting this comment. Thank you < 3
I am going to visit family by plane for a couple of days and won't be back until the 26th. I am taking my Mobile Studio Pro with me to work on the chapter. I'll try to do as much as I can in the airport and on the plane, but while I am there, I just won't have the freedom to work on it while around my family. My grandma is homophobic, and I'm staying in her guest room during my visit. I probably will only be able to work on it after they go to sleep. That being said, please give me time to get the new chapter out, and please don't post over me, thanks. Love you all < 3
If you don't understand the concept of struggling with disabilities, you are not going to like this story and will definitely misunderstand the ml. If you are reading this story as someone who understands the complexity of untreated disabilities, then this is a total masterpiece. Enjoyment of this story stems entirely from how people view disabilities.

I just wanted to update that I am indeed working on the newest chapter as of release. I appreciate your patience waiting for me to translate it and I’m working hard to have it posted for you all
Thanks, we can all need some disheveled Jaehyuk
