Finished the novel and couple days ago, this is such a fluffy story. There is a lot of communication issues and false assumptions, but it mostly boils down to the MC just being really socially inept. The ML is a whole green flag forest, and honestly if you are inclined read the novel instead of or in addition to because so much nuance is cut out here.

He wasn't black out drunk though, he doesnt remember the night because he went into heat. From ML perspective MC was willing and consenting. There really is a lot of detail missing from the novel

I think he just meant because he had been pretending to be one for so long--plus the drug basically made him one (though the translation was confusing; before that, it just said it made his omega status disappear, so I would've thought that made him look like a beta).
But yeah, it's gonna be boring for me if he just keeps taking the drugs. While it COULD make for a neat story (assuming we don't go the "uke stays at rock bottom and relies on the seme"), I'm not really into any dynamic besides alpha/omega.
Kinda hoping he is forced to face his gender by getting pregnant due to some unexpected hyper fertility side effect of giving the alpha pills to an actual alpha lol
It would be neat and I find it the only thing that makes an omegaverse worthwhile (unless we're actually talking about the injustices), but I don't want this to mean he loses his career. As of now, he's just on suspension for illegal drug use. If it's found out he's an omega, that's it. I'm not a fan of the common trope of the omega (or the uke) losing or quitting their job. I think the omega's situation is supposed to be karma for being a bully, but from what we see, it's mainly just discrimination; he couldn't join the team due to being an omega, and thus became an alpha, and his wife left him due to being an omega, I think.
And I'm almost certain the drugs won't do anything to the alpha, but it feels like it SHOULD come with consequences and the omega should feel bad for it.
