I want to erase mangas from my Read list, but they are still there, without the rating or tags visible, but they still appear there. I tried moving them to the "Want to Read" and erase them there, but it still appeared when I select the tag they where under. Does this happen to someone else? How did you deal with this?
Sorry I didnt explain well:
I used my delete link and it was still there (without tags or rating but still there).
Since it was still there, I would click the link to the manga and it showed me the buttons to add the manga for my list.
So I thought it would erase later and it was just a lag, but when I would go back after a few days (to the page it was in on my Read List), the manga was still there (without tags or rating). Since I still saw it there, I would click delete again with the link and it still wouldn't work. So I thought it was just one manga and left it...but I noticed that it would do it with a lot of mangas and that the number of tags (Yaoi) would increase but instead of decrease (or at least keep a steady number since I kept adding and erasing).
It is like a horror show, I swear. I did all of that but it is still there, I even tried to modify the tags but once I "deleted" the manga it doesn't show the tags anymore. The problem is that even if I delete the manga, if I click the tag it was under it shows up. (On the tag and the page without clicking the tag)
I tried everything, I even tried "adding" it again with the tags, erased every tag and erased again, and it is still there. The manga shows the cover, the "delete" and "edit" link, and an empty Tag, but when I click on the title it shows the manga as not added to my Read, Reading or Want to Read list.
This started to happened after the manga disappeared and came back, so I dont know if something happened there.
I dont know what happened to my reply but I cant see it.
It is a horror show I swear, well a horror show with a bit of comedy. Once I delete them using the link it shows that I "added" them in 1969. It shows the cover, the delete and edit button, an empty Tag list, and an added date of 1969. I click on the title but it shows them as not added. It appeared on the Read list by itself, and on the Tag list; I click on the Tags and it appeared on the Tags it was under.
I even tried to add them again, to delete them again (I even added the tags again), but it still won't work.
This started to happen once they added the lists back, so I dont know if it is happening to someone else.
Once again, I apologize, but I can't help you. I tried creating a list and deleting from it to see if I could recreate your issue, but, alas, I was unable to get the same error. Here are the steps I took: I added a manga from my Already List, to a Horrible List that I created, deleted the manga from my Horrible list and then deleted the Horrible List itself. The manga is still in my Already Read list, but the manga and the list itself are gone. :-(
The folly of my youth will forever pursue me in this site...It will, from now on, remind me of those times I picked recklessly in my path towards learning the joys of yaoi.
The worst of this incident is that - it is not exclusive to my eyes- but rather public; public in my choice, public in my selection and public the error of those choices and selections, done in my youthful indiscretion.
And now we all know how old I really am jajaja...and how dramatic...
What will the people think when they see that I foolishly tagged a 3/5 manga as a 5/5? They will brand me tasteless and unlike the perverts of higher discernment who read men fucking each other in obviously superior and more artistic ways. No actual persons are checking my profile, but they could be, and the possibility of my juvenile choices marking me falsely in some stranger's mind as an inaesthetic pervert? dreadful...
though most of my reading history was purged when mangago's servers went wacko earlier this year. perhaps a blessing in disguise?
It is the thought that one might see my profile, which creates within me a beast called fear, fear and shame.
You see, artistic or aesthetic, it makes no difference to me, for everyone drew the same disproportioned form of men back then...no, what worries me now is what people will think when they see the story, the narrative, itself, that I used to enjoy.
Nowadays, that same joy creates, in my soul, shame and an almost physical embarrassment; shame and embarrassment, in the choices of what I thought was enchanting, romantic...Shakespearean, in both tragedy and loveliness.
What is more, I confess, I rated most of those stories that now make me cringe a 5/5 when nowadays most rate them 3/5... or even 2/5.
And worse still, as if to laugh at me for a past that I no longer recognize, most of my past transgressions came back. A gift, I assure you, but one that creates a juxtaposition of joy and frustrating sadness in me, for my transgressions came back to the forefront, and now won't let me move forward without being forgotten.
Dont worry when I follow people I get ideas about what to read next, so we can share our shame mwajajajajaja
Do you have any light-hearted recommendations for me, it doesnt matter if they are action, bl, etc. as long as they dont have a lot of violence, please.

I know it may be annoying but I see a lot of people worried over their list so I put it up again. I just had 3 in my reading list and now I have more than 100 back.
1. Go and check your notifications list and save all that manga:
♡ If you want to safe a conversation you can like it and tag it as "Save" or "Important" and it will be saved there.
♡ My personal opinion: Go back and mute all past conversations so that they dont push your old manga notifications out.
2. I saw that in my "Read" list a lot of the titles there used to be on my "Reading " or "To Read " list, so I moved them back to their original list.
● Tag everything with simple tags, ex: Yaoi, Yuri, Shounen Ai, Mystery, Action, want to read, or reading. The rest will come later.
●Check every manga to see if they are rated or tagged, some are not rated or tagged, tag them again in the simple order above. The thing is even if you Read or before, it may not be rated or its tagged incorrectly.
3. Now go to your lists, not the "Reading" or "Raed" lists, but the ones you made and the ones that you follow.
4. Check in your conversations, or comments in the past.
5. Last, I noticed that I still have the people I follow, check those too, if they have some back, great, start saving.
As a last resort so that we dont lose our data again: once you are done download the data, and uptade that data ever three moths or in a certain period if time. Here is a post that explains how to do it in excel, but you can do screenshot or other websites. Post: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21023233/
Something like this is bound to happen again, especially with Korea trying to take out piracy sites for webtoons, so better safe than sorry. It's in their right since we pirate, but we don't want to lose our data, so...
There are four sisters who are considered creepy, but they are nice people, just you know Addams family vibes. They where mainly home schooled, but youngest falls in love with a "pretty guy" so she decided to go to his high school to try and win him over. There she meets another boy and he decided to help her with her romance, but he is also falling in love with her.
The pretty boy, also has three brothers and they are considered "perfect" so the guy has a complex.
i havent really read it but is it this one?

OK, so I am not an admin or anything of the sort, and most of this I did personally. I am no professional but I decided to post it here for the ifs ands or buts that it helps someone. (It's long, bear with me, please)
(Skip this if you don't want my personal opinion)
First, if the ones who communicated with the adminis are right, something crashed and we are not getting most of our stuff back. We may be getting some, but not in the right order or not everything. I have been in this site for 10 years and I don't know if it helped or not. But I was one of the lucky ones to get a lot of data back, not everything, and not in order, but a lot.
This "event" has taught me a great lesson, in saving everything. Now, since I don't really care about the order I read, or the time logs, and since I am an Impatient bit(h I decided to move things around. I haven't really written English in years, sorry for my grammar.
(Important stuff now)
Now, the ones that you may have to hurry and go back to do is the notification list. The thing is that if you have some manga there, with everyone joining and talking in the questions section, you will lose track on those woth every new notification, even conversatios. So go back and do it quickly.
♡ If you want to save a conversation you can like it and tag it as "Save" or "Important" and it will be saved there.
♡ My personal opinion is, if you want it in your notifications leave (.) as a comment, get a notification and mute it. Go back and mute all past conversations so that they dont push your old manga notifications out. If you want to ask something on here do so, but I don't think I can answer it professionally since I have no contact with the adminis. But I will try and others will too, I am sure.
I saw that in my "Read" list a lot of the titles there used to be on my "Reading " or "To Read" list, so I moved them back to their original list.
●If you don't remember if you read it or not, better save than sorry and move the to the "To Read" list l.
● Tag everything with simple tags, ex: Yaoi, Yuri, Shounen Ai, Mystery, Action. The rest will come later.
●Check every manga to see if they are rated or tagged, some are not rated or tagged, tag them again in the simple order above, don't worry about it you will come back later. The thing is even if you Read or before, it may not be rated or tagged correctly, I noticed some of mine had the wrong tags.
Mangago is erasing my post so I am putting it up as comment:

Most of the time we put those in our "To Read", "Read", or "Want to Read", so check those again and put them there. If you are not sure about what you had where from other people's lists then don't worry put them in the "To Read", better safe than sorry.
Check in your conversations, or comments in the past, there are some there that are not in your lists put them back in your lists.
Last, I noticed that I still have the people I follow, check those too, if they have some back, great, start saving. Remember we follow them because we have the same taste or because we are friends in real life and we share manga.

I am one of the lucky few that got some titles back...but they came out of order; the older ones are first, the reading and want to read on my read, and many arr still missing...
But...
But...
I am a little embarrassed at what I read 10 years ago, the taste changes but I didnt realize it would be so much and that it would hit me in the face. It seems like I was betrayed in more than one way (jk).
I realized that some of my 'To Read' titles where in my 'Read' so, in my mind, it seemed easy to switch them to my 'To Read' list. It also seemed easy to put some of my 'Reading' titles in their list...the problem is that now the process stopped, there has been no update on my lists since, and there are still titles all over the place without ratings...some that I am sure that I read and rated before.
So word of advice, don't move anything yet. I don't know if eventually things would be fixed but better not tempt the devil.
explained here: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/
No, I guess I didnt explain it well.
I have read that one.
But I was impatient.
Some did come back, but not all of it came back, and before it all came back, it seemed easy to add things to my lists. But since I did that my list have not been rearranged or updated since, and it has been some time. It just stopped updating. Other people have done the same and their lists update stopped too.
My advice is don't add or move anything until its done. I am no expert but better be patient than sorry.
What you’re experiencing actually lines up with how mggs restoring lists right now.
The issue isn’t that moving or adding titles broke your list permanently. What’s happening is that the UI (list display) and the database (where your manga are saved) are still out of sync. When some of your old entries partially reappeared, it looked like everything was back, but in reality your account was still mid-restoration.
When you moved or added titles during that phase, those changes were saved correctly, but the UI stopped refreshing older timestamps because your account is still waiting for the rest of its data to be read and displayed. That’s why things seem stuck, ratings look missing, or titles appear in the wrong lists.
This has happened to other users too, even ones who didn’t move anything. It’s tied to the ongoing backend process, not individual actions. Once restoration finishes for your timestamp range, the lists should reconcile and update again.
That said, the advice to wait before moving or adding anything is still good. Not because it causes damage, but because it avoids confusion while the UI is unstable.
So basically:
Your data isn’t lost
You didn’t overwrite anything
The list display just hasn’t caught up yet
Patience really is the safest move right now.

What is going on?! Again?!
The worst thing is that I told myself to back up, over and over again, but my lazy ass didn't..."Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". I want to be an adult and take things calmly but I am losing it.
