How far ur moral ground stand when you reading ???
We knew things like non-con, familial bond, blackmail, and so on is wrong if u talking about morals. On the other hand some people actually doesn't mind dark genre like that, and sometimes abuse and negligence often used as good material for a villain/mc flashback as reason to do smth good/bad. How far u can handle morally wrong act? Is there a line u set for urself like " I might can handle cheating, but rape is the line i wont tolerate " ?? Or as long as no one knew abt it, u keep it to urself of how far u can actually tolerate morally wrong read???
I usually stop reading stories that involve pedophilia, rape, incest, or (sexual) violence between the two characters (especially if it’s particularly gory and gruesome) ... “Dub Con” depends .. I often keep reading, but if it turns into rape or if it’s simply never consensual, then I stop reading the story. But it also sometimes depends on...... reply
I read anything and everything but mainly if I like the story. I mean if he's ugly af but is a pedo then I'll join rioting against the shit but if he's hot then I might consider lol.
I can draw the line between fictional and reality. So don't come after me with pitchfork and blowtorch lol. Just because I read disgusting stories doesn't mean I cond...... reply
If a serious subject is treated as a joke or a romanticization of the topic, then thats a no for me. If its to inform, educate and actually make me learn something, then Ill read it. Its important to me that authors show the reality of certain dark subjects. reply
i read basically anything as long as the plot is interesting and storytelling is good. i absolutely hate over exposition and thats all. that being said, i dont really tell people i know irl about the things i read either so its just me and myself. you'll know when something feels wrong or gets too weird, which is why i think it's important for kids...... reply
It depends on how the book handles dark topics. Though I'll always draw the line when it sexualizes children or teens (and incest). If it shows pedophilia/grooming in a way where it's acceptable or the character isn't condemned for it I'm out. Other than that if the these dark topics are written well enough for me I'll get through it reply
