In my country, the guidelines say that if you have symptoms of depression that have lasted for at least two weeks, it can be a sign of depression. You said this lasted for two months, and if it genuinely affected your mood and school life for that long, then I think that’s serious and shouldn’t just be dismissed.

I know how you feel when my first dog died I felt helpless since we can't afford much and I don't want to see him suffer bcs he was already old so all I did was try my best to feed him with syringe and TALK to your pet as much as possible while caressing and telling them you love them there will be tears it's normal, it's okay just let it flow.
