Feelings need the time to be acknowledged, tended to--to let go and release. It's not a very linear process. Be present for the feelings that come up; it's okay to still have feelings. If you have a way to cope and vent it helps, like writing. In the meantime, minimize the space they take up in your life. Don't check their socials, photos, messages......   reply

If not, allow it that the feelings and thoughts about them can take some time.. i mean i had a best friend and getting over them took like 2 years.. so imagine with a partner.
