okay so imagine for the true final ending of this story... mori grows up and ends up with that girl lily...they have a kid (or more ) so now mori's moms also get to become GRANDMAS!!! AND and and now even if mori passes away in a distant future, his bloodline still continues to be miria's and ryder's and everyone else's family like
GUYS CAN YOU SEE THIS VISION!?
I'm sorry? It wasn't that I was necessarily shipping children or anything weird?? What I meant is eventually mori will grow up as every human does and couldn't help but think about ryder, miria and the others. I Kept thinking of that one chapter how much miria was suffering in regards to the day when mori finally leaves her cause humans don't live as much as the aliens do. Granted death and grief are also part of the cycle of life and it a way that's what makes every moment so precious. It was The idea that one day even when mori himself is no longer there for her, she'll still won't feel as broken by his absence because she'll have the love, family and memories he left her behind even if he's not there himself. The previous concept of "Mom" now get to live on as maybe "Grandma"/"Grandmother" or who knows maybe it can still be "Mom" it can be whatever feels right in their hearts.
I know that this probably won't change anyone's mind and I 100% understand that but... at some point in my life I was that guy (though I'm a woman) and part of the process of becoming a more dependable and efficient adult I had to learn to be kinder on my past self. I don't want to think I was below someone else's level or that I was not even worth trying to become better because that same mentality is what kept me trapped in that poor state of living. I have adhd and struggled with severe executive disfunction as well as mild depression. 5 years later thanks to occupational therapy I'm in a really happy and healthy place. The chapter where the count realizes that it's not that the ML isn't trying hard enough but rather that his learning curve is different from his, so instead of giving up on him they change the study guide to be able help him. In a weird way this meant a lot to me. I rather see a character genuinly willing and trying to be better than just staying stagnant for literally no reason.
I think one of the main reasons why ml is so disliked is because of how he first treated fl and was in love with another person. But once he noticed how resourceful and independent fl was, he quickly (like, within a chapter) fell for fl and moved past the person he was in love with before.
I personally think the other suitor part was just a poorly written attempt at creating and resolving conflict. I think he's a pretty reasonable character otherwise.
Also, yay adhd sisters? ><
Thats my beef with it. He was so in love with his ex that (okay well he did nothing because rocks for brains) but he tried to stand up somebody that could crush him like a bug. Then he sees our girl smile like twice and gets all mad she she doesn’t smile for him and suddenly he’s head over heels, oh did I date that one girl i cant cant remember
See the thing is That to me has never really been something that necesarilly deters me in stories like this because more than 3/4 of modern day romance manga and even more so korean romance manhwa start off with the ML being an asshole to the FL and usually no one ever complains or atleast seem to get over it pretty easily. Granted I'm pretty sure (like 97.8%) it's just because since the ML is usually drawn VERY attractively the readers give him a pass. Also I don't know if I have to maybe reread this or something because I definitely don't remember him falling in love in JUST two chapters. Even when he did decide to end things with the other girl it was after rosa helped him see that things where more layered and not as easy as he thought they were which he accepted and realized in a rational way. Heck even he started noticing by all by himself how screwed up the other girl was because she clearly was never told NO as a child. Also...Hi! another nice adhd lady! I salute you fellow soldier
I cannot get over hisui's description of love. Specially because I have never been able to experience it myself, but still somehow I know.
Love is in the small gestures you do for your partner, In the little and seemingly insignificant every day moments you spend together, It's being thankful everyday for being able to find someone who feels like home to you.
I can’t stop thinking about my suspicion that she’s not really the king’s biological daughter…
Y’all remember the chapter where her mom mentioned her childhood friend/sweetheart who actually visited her once or twice at the palace when she was already a concubine?
AND THEN her guard (a person with access to the palace) just goes and mentions something about a childhood friend whom she reminded him of??? I haven't read the novel but those comments felt a little too specific for the characters to just bring them up randomly
I’m telling you… there’s more angst to come I just know it

I've said before how much I love how layered both Lirica and Lydia (Lili's mother) are, while still understanding why some readers dislike Lydia. Recently, I watched a long video essay arguing that the reason Lydia gets so much hate is because she's a woman, and the more I thought about it, the more I agreed.
In most manhwa, it's usually the father who neglects, abuses, imprisons, or even kills the protagonist in their previous life. Yet readers rarely direct the same level of hatred toward those fathers. It's apparently easier to forgive a handsome deadbeat dad while holding mothers to a much higher moral standard. Many of these fathers don't even have particularly tragic backstories.
What's more, in those stories the regressed protagonist is usually the one forced to change. They have to act far beyond their age and do all the emotional labor so the father can finally start acting like a parent. If they had remained an ordinary child, nothing would have changed.
That's why Lydia stands out. She's the one who chooses to be better.
Lydia was neglected and abused by her mother, inappropriately desired by her father, and married off at just fifteen to an older man who used, degraded, and abandoned her. Left alone with a newborn and overwhelming debt, she had no friends, family, or support system. She turned to alcohol to cope, only to be manipulated by nobles who used her for their political schemes and discarded her when she was no longer useful.
And yet after all of that she never dismisses or justify her own wrong doings. She's fully self aware and constantly reflects and admonishes those actions.
I couldn't agree more. Male characters are given far more grace because to many female readers, they are attracted to them. They will go far and beyond to gush how cute they are now, and how the father is trying and he changed.
But when it comes to Lydia? Suddenly all this compassion and understanding is gone.
This is exactly what I was thinking, readers have no issue forgiving useless fathers who only show change cause their regressed kid now has some superpower or is super smart and doing stuff that adults should be dealing with, lydia changed and realized her mistake in her past life and took full responsibility the second she returned to past and has been doing so much more for the mc and yeah rarely any of those fathers have a tragic story, like I don’t think I’ve ever seen them have any other trauma than a strict or absent father/mother and they treat mc who’s a literal child like shit and only start loving them cause the child now benefits them in some way, they don’t even ask for forgiveness most of the time cause duh they don’t remember their past lives but readers only need a hot good looking father and rest is forgiven.
