Y'all, I live in the Bible Belt and work in retail and I cannot tell you the number of times weirdo religious people have asked me if they can pray for me and then proceed to physically hold my arm without asking for permission. It’s so so so STRANGE and leaves me utterly baffled and incredibly embarrassed every time it’s happened. reply
I saw a video of a girl doing gym videos and she happened to have old SH scars and the comments were absolutely horrible (seeking attention, crazy, calling her weak). It’s so gross and completely thoughtless, twitter maybe a hellscape but instagram reels are not far behind

I personally had a really bad experience with a S/H victim that WOULD use his wounds to threaten me into doing what he wanted. does this mean I should view other victims this way? of course not.
