Depends on the genre. If it's action, I prefer it longer, maybe 3 seasons, around 1000+ chapters will do. For a slice of life, shounen ai and romance, I prefer it to be shorter, maybe 50 - 60 chapters max. If it's smut, I prefer it to be a one shot, bl or straight.

Some BL Manga are nicely wrapped up with just 5-6 chapters same as with 20 chapters of Manhwa. Not too long not too short. Just the right amount of story.
Some long stories are also understable coz the lore is too vast, and it’s pretty enjoyable.
