Y'all, I live in the Bible Belt and work in retail and I cannot tell you the number of times weirdo religious people have asked me if they can pray for me and then proceed to physically hold my arm without asking for permission. I saw a video of a girl doing gym videos and she happened to have old SH scars and the comments were absolutely horrible (seeking attention, crazy, calling her weak). It’s so gross and completely thoughtless, twitter maybe a hellscape but instagram reels are not far behind

I personally had a really bad experience with a S/H victim that WOULD use his wounds to threaten me into doing what he wanted. does this mean I should view other victims this way? of course not. YES. And it's not only self harm, it's everything related to it. Yeah, this is so real. People hide behind "it's dark humor" but mocking self harm victims isn't funny, it's just cruel.
Also just letting yk, the discord thing is usually traced back to groomers, adults talking to minors and creating that dependent relationship. But sometimes it's genuinely just mockery too, people using it as a punchline without ...... 1 reply

I've noticed this alot, especially people making memes about how self harm victims in discord used to seek attention like it's supposed to be funny. They always make them out to be creepy and crazy people who cut themselves for fun.... Everyone is okay with trauma until it's self harm like so many people shame us for having scars and it's so disrespectful tbh.

As a lesbian I tend to self insert in GL/Yuri without meaning too. The problem for ME personally is I’m strictly a top and a lot of GL don’t have that dynamic as much as yaoi does. It’s such a stupid reason to not read as much Yuri but I just can’t get my self to enjoy the story ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
