Bocchi Kaibutsu to Moumoku Shoujo
The monster Heath has always lived alone, until one day she met a sweet blind girl named Lily who gave her a name. Though the relationship started out with some deception on Heath's part, the two fell in love and started living together. The story is mostly slice of life as they have cute moments together and get to know other friends and family, gradually opening up Heath's world. Trigger warning: discrimination.
Lessons for Your Pet Human
The story of the beloved pet human of the god Uranus when Uranus has to leave to visit Gaia for a few days, so he leaves his human with Erebus. Erebus gets sick of the human "misbehaving" and decides to train him through sexual acts. I really wish it had just been a sweet story about how much Uranus loved his pet human, but instead I got sexual torture. Not for me. Trigger warnings: noncon, BDSM.
Yagi the Bookshop Goat
Yagi is just a goatman who has always dreamed of working in a bookshop in a world where goats are known for eating books. He finally managed to get a job in a bookshop in the carnivore zone, but his boss, Ookami, is always yelling at him for eating the books! But really, Ookami has been looking out for Yagi all along. So when an unfortunate incident ends with Yagi getting accidentally injured by a patron, Ookami immediately fires him, and Yagi finally realizes he doesn't just want to work at any bookstore, he wants to work with Ookami.
One of my favorite stories with really adorable characters who are fun to see. I don't mind explicit stuff, but I do think this story might have actually worked better as a shounen ai, but that's just me. Still, really cute and worth a read. No trigger warnings.
Amethyst no Yuutsu
Aiji is a government worker who spots the beautiful Akira getting groped on the train one day and helps him out. Then, when Akira notices Aiji has gotten hard, Akira takes him to a hotel and ends up "helping him out." After that, Aiji wants to start a relationship with Akira, but Akira is only interested in casual relationships due to his personality of putting on a facade to please whoever he's with. But when Aiji turns down a transfer because of Akira and Akira cuts him off completely, Aiji has to really break through Akira's walls or lose him forever. Not sure why this one is so low rated. It wasn't my favorite by any means, but I did really like Akira's pretty character design and the central conflict wasn't bad, it just ended up kind of being force fed to you by a brother character instead of having the characters get to it naturally. Trigger warning: noncon (train groper).
Welcome to the Torano Detective Agency
Yano Kaisei is a former delinquent who's homeless and desperate for work, so when he sees a job offering that includes a room, he jumps on the chance. That's how he meeds the beastman Torano Jiu and his half-beastman niece, Yui. Torano is a detective in need of a secretary and some help around the house, so Kaisei takes the job, but when circumstances during an investigation force them to get physical, they both start to realize their feelings have crossed some boundaries. Both guys in this one are super cute as they realize how they feel, and it's a fun read. No trigger warnings.
The Omega Takes a Husband
Yoshiharu is the number two in a yakuza gang and he should inherit it from his grandmother. The only problem is, Yoshiharu is an omega, and the yakuza world is still very alpha supremacist. Worried about her grandson facing all this alone, his grandmother forces Yoshiharu to attend wedding interviews that all go terribly, until one guy drugs him. Yoshiharu is out of it, but he swears he smells the pheromones of his fated pair, but the only person there, his faithful retainer Makoto, says there was no one. Then, only days later, Yoshiharu smells it again and realizes Makoto isn't the beta he thought he was, and is actually his fated pair. But while Yoshiharu is ready to go all in on Makoto despite his general hatred of alphas, Makoto struggles to believe in Yoshiharu's feelings or that he could ever be good enough. I liked that Yoshiharu's character was strong and not a pushover, even though he was an omega, though he was rescued once. Trigger warnings: drug (heat), attempted rape.
Machigitsune to Hito no Ko
Kiyo has just entered school for civil service in the capital when he gets lost in front of a huge mansion. The owner, Ozaki, notices Kiyo and says he knows his grandpa, then invites him to live in the mansion. As the two live together in the mansion, Kiyo learns that Ozaki is a fox spirit who claims to hate humans, but he's kind and Kiyo starts to develop feelings, even as he worries Ozaki only sees his grandfather in him. Cute story with good visuals. No trigger warnings.
