Shin Toukyou Yuukaku Monogatari
Ch.1-2 - Hiyodori is an orphan who was raised in a brothel, and even though he's an adult now, he's been sheltered by the workers and is hopelessly innocent. Enter the handsome sea captain Shyougetsu, a friend of the owner who first found Hiyodori, who says he'll step up to teach Hiyodori about what it means to be an adult (sexually), leading Hiyodori to fall in love. It's short and sweet if you're into the very young, feminine type of uke, but they really did depict Hiyodori as just too childlike for my comfort. Trigger warning: feels like statutory rape.
Ch.3-5 - Jan is a vampire who was caught by the part werewolf priest, Asu, and though he hates being fed blood packs instead of fresh blood, he's come to enjoy the physical aspects of their relationship. But when the father figure who raised them both (separately?) and formerly was Jan's lover returns, they have to prove their relationship. Weird stuff, not my cup of tea. Trigger warning: pedophilia.
Ou to Hiyaku
Ch.1 - Music of the Blue Sky - Aoi is a male prostitute working in a brothel who gets selected by the young nobleman Akeboshi. Akeboshi is known for causing trouble in the brothel before over a prostitute he fell in love with, but this time he just wants to listen to Aoi play music for him. As the two talk and he listens to Aoi's music, Aoi realizes he's fallen in love with Akeboshi, though Akeboshi's heart still belongs to another. Slightly bittersweet with a hopeful ending. I liked it. Trigger warning: sex work.
I believe ch.2-3 are short oneshots about characters from another of the author's works. Ch.3 has an underage (child) prostitute, so be warned.
Ch.4 - Raider Black - Matsuba was once a young lord, but his family fortune fell apart and his father died. In that moment, a former family servant, Suou, returned, and even though Suou stole from them when he left, Matsuba trusted him as a child and thought he returned to save him. But Suou returned for revenge on Matsuba's father who cheated, impregnated and abandoned his sister, and since Matsuba's father is dead, he takes it out on Matsuba instead by forcing him into prostitution and buying him every night. Not really my thing, but I do appreciate the complex emotions being depicted. Trigger warnings: sex trafficking, sex work, rape.
- Wind Chime - a prostitute and a customer trade ghost stories, but the prostitute was a ghost all along!
- The King and the Potion - A noble-hearted young king is introduced to the red light district and sees a boy selling himself for his first time. He buys the boy, Moegi, to save him, but the two are drugged and have a wild first night. After that, Moegi works at the palace and the two have a happy, chaste romance, until Moegi is convinced to leave by the king's enemies. The king then wastes away, and only Moegi's return can save him. This one was a bit fairytale-esque, but very cute and fun. Trigger warnings: sex work, attempted murder.
Sute Neko no Ie
The vampire Ed took in the child Phil on a whim, but now that Phil is growing up, Ed begins to feel uncomfortable around him. When Phil confesses his love to Ed, Ed kicks him out, only to regret it when he realizes what Phil will face without him. Interesting and a quick read. Trigger warnings: incest themes (guardian), kidnapping, child trafficking.
Gouman Celeb no Egoistic Sex
Seiichi Fujimune is an ordinary starving student when he stops a thief in front of the model Rey Alexander, who kisses him. Seiichi can't get the kiss out of his head, and when he loses his job, who should show up but Rey once more, offering him the perfect position at his side. The two end up working together, then living together, as they cross more and more boundaries, but just when they finally seem to be happily in love, Seiichi realizes the damage their relationship could do to Rey's reputation. Very cliche and trope-y story, but still fun to read, and the ML is actually way nicer than he appears on the cover. Trigger warning: drunk intimacy.
Shin'yuu to Gouri Teki ni Yaru Houhou
In high school, Igarashi happened to oversee the popular student Amarai having sex with another man. After that, he was interested in Amarai and did his best to get closer, until the two were best friends who do everything together, even in college. So Igarashi finally decides it's time to shoot his shot and get what he's been after all along by asking Amarai to make adult videos to post online with him. Amarai goes along with it, but as things escalate between them, Igarashi starts to wonder why Amarai would go this far. A cute and silly relationship where everything could have been resolved if they'd talked for like five minutes, but this way was more interesting. Trigger warnings: voyuerism, manipulation.
Chuuken Bodyguard ga Nisemono Reijou no Uso to Karada wo Abaku made.
Reiko Takanashi was isekaied into the body of the villainess, so she's been trying her best to be a good person and win everyone over ever since, especially her bodyguard, Takaomi Ichijou, who killed her in the original story. But when Takaomi meets with the heroine anyway, Reiko begins to think maybe the only way to avoid this is to fire him, causing him to go off the deep end and assault her. But that's just how deep his feelings go, right? Could have been a good story without the assault. Trigger warnings: drug(roofie), kidnapping, noncon.
Pink To Mameshiba
Mikoshiba Ken is a hardcore idol otaku, but he gets found out by his student, Kurokawa, who works at the store where Mikoshiba buys his merch. Kurokawa demands that Mikoshiba be his dog, but as they get closer, Mikoshiba notices that Kurokawa seems to have some complicated emotions toward Mikoshiba's favorite idol group, specifically. Surprisingly cute relationship, despite the somewhat threatening start and the age gap. Trigger warnings: blackmail, dubcon.
Crack Star
Shino is a regular salaryman until his high school friend Mio asks to crash with him. Shino is a little surprised at how naturally the two of them fall back into their old friendship, but he hears rumors that Mio has changed and the reason he needs a place to crash is because he cheated on his fiance with a man. Shino doesn't let it get to him and gets Mio a job, but when he starts to see Mio getting a little too close to one of their superiors, Shino realizes he can't let Mio go. I felt like the emotions of their friendship were depicted well. Otherwise, the story didn't stand out to me but it was good enough for a read. Trigger warnings: coercion, voyuerism.
Bocchi Kaibutsu to Moumoku Shoujo
The monster Heath has always lived alone, until one day she met a sweet blind girl named Lily who gave her a name. Though the relationship started out with some deception on Heath's part, the two fell in love and started living together. The story is mostly slice of life as they have cute moments together and get to know other friends and family, gradually opening up Heath's world. Trigger warning: discrimination.
